Tonight’s, J.E. Johnson Title I & Open House was a GREAT turnout! 🙌🏽 We truly appreciate all of the parents and families who came out to be a part of this important evening.
Parents had the opportunity to learn more about what Title I means, what it consists of, and how it supports our scholars.⭐️

It was also a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect with their child’s teacher and have meaningful conversations about grades, behavior, work ethic, attendance, and the importance of being present and engaged in school.
When parents and teachers work together, our scholars have an even greater opportunity to succeed!📖

We are officially in the 2nd full week of school here at J.E. Johnson Elementary and with our bi-weekly. Our Scholars are off to a Great Start! 🎉📚

This week, the JDC School District Exceptional Education Development Team screened all of our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade Scholars on J.E. Johnson Elementary & G.W. Carver Elementary.
Our Exceptional Education Team comsists of Cassandra Myers-Easterling, Kami Thompson, and Dameron Lindsey. Together, they work to identify Scholars who may benefit from additional academic, developmental, or speech/language services.

JDC School District came together on JDC Middle School campus to “Paint the District Red” in honor of Coach Alvin Gray Day! There were several who wore red on J.E. Johnson campus. Wearing red was more than a color, it was a symbol of unity, gratitude, and the legacy of Coach Alvin Gray.❤️

🐆💙 ONE WEEK DOWN… AND WE’RE OFF TO A GREAT START! 📚🎓

Today marks ONE WEEK for our Scholars at J.E. Johnson Elementary, and I can honestly say… WE ARE OFF TO A GREAT START! 🙌🏾💙🐆

Of course, there will always be a few bumps in the road, but that’s what makes us a TEAM! 🤝🏾 When we work together, communicate, and support one another, we can iron out those bumps and keep moving forward. Remember, TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! 💪🏾

Our teachers were READY for instructional learning with their Scholars, and our Scholars showed up ready to listen, learn, and grow! 📚✏️📝

This week, I watched our Scholars sit diligently in their classrooms, listening to their teachers and soaking up knowledge. 🥰📖 There is nothing better than seeing our children engaged and ready to learn!

A special shout-out to our Principal, Dr. Moore, who took time to visit each grade level, introduce himself to our Scholars, and go over our school rules and expectations. 👏🏾💙 It’s important that our Scholars know who their leaders are and understand what it means to be a part of the J.E. Johnson family.
