Last week, music students brought joy to those at the Ogema Senior Lunch at the Ogema Library and Regency Assisted Living in Phillips. Students performed vocal solos, instrumental music and songs from the musical Matilda.

The WSMA state solo and ensemble was held today at the UW-Stevens Point. Both Michael and Will performed their solos for judges and earned a rating of 1 (the best rating). Only students who earned a 1* rating at the district level were able to participate at the state level. Will performed "An Abstract" solo on his alto saxophone, while Michael did a jazz improv solo to "On Green Dolphin Street".

Here are last night's results. I am so proud of these kids. They give me their all and tried their hardest yesterday. The growth I have seen in them both musically and as a person over the past year is huge. They did well.

You need to have a ticket on your phone (or your parent if you are going with them). If you cannot afford the $12.50, let me know.

WIAA does not let us in free. I will cover fan bus fees if we have them.

There are several rules/etc that we will cover in class. I hope you can all come on Friday!
