October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Awareness Month?🫀⚡

Knowing the difference between a heart attack and Sudden Cardiac Arrest can mean the difference between life and death.

A Heart Attack is a 'plumbing problem' (blocked blood flow); the person is usually conscious.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is an 'electrical problem' (heart stops beating); the person collapses, is unconscious, and is not breathing normally.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

1️⃣ CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.
2️⃣ START HANDS-ONLY CPR (Push hard and fast: 100–120 BPM).
3️⃣ GET AN AED.
4️⃣ DO NOT BE AFRAID: AEDs DO NOT shock wrongly.
