Thank you Dr. Dale Stripling for all you have done over the years to keep Alabama Schools safer.

With a devastated and saddened heart, we share the news of the passing of our friend, Dr. Dale Stripling, a longstanding Board Member of TAASRO, ambassador of school safety, and a man of faith and family.

Dale's heart was full of love for his Lord and Savior and his family. He was a respected leader and a longtime, passionate advocate for school safety across Alabama. We, personally and professionally, were blessed to know him, learn from him, and work beside him to keep kids safe.

For many, there is a hole that will never be filled because of who Dale was as a man, father, husband, grandfather, friend, and servant to the Lord. He loved others more than himself, he loved TAASRO, and he loved his calling to keep kids safe.

His work with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) has positioned Alabama as a leader in school safety across this nation. For this, his legacy will live on through his profound impact and influence. Alabama's school children are safer because of Dale's passion for humanity

In the early 2000s, he was asked to seek out educators to fill TAASRO's new Educator Representative positions. He not only found those individuals but tirelessly championed the collaboration between SROs, educators, and school safety stakeholders, helping to build TAASRO into what it has become today. TAASRO will be forever grateful!

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Further information regarding arrangements or ways to honor his memory will be shared as they become available.
