Cautiously optimistic about this soap. I used a new to me method for making this lavender goat milk soap that *fingers crossed* will keep this soap a nice creamy white.
Using milk in soaps can be challenging because of the typical high temps in the process that end up scorching the natural sugars in the milk. This often results in a tan to brown color. Typically I don’t mind this especially when it’s my oatmeal goat milk soap, but it does present a challenge if you are wanting to do anything artsy, OR the essential oil you are using isn’t one you think of as brown.
The method I just tried out requires much lower temperatures. We will see how this goes!
