Update from the superintendent. Have a great weekend!
March 18, 2022
Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,
This is a quick message to share some updates with you as we close out the third nine weeks and move into our final quarter of the school year.
You may have noticed that we recently launched a new, redesigned website, AscensionSchools.org. In addition to a new website address, it features a more streamlined menu, school-branded webpages, pop-up messages for important communications like school closures, staff directories, and premium translation. Please note, our former website address, www.apsb.org, still works and will redirect you to the new website.
We have also updated the School Operations section of our website in response to the expiration of the governor's public health emergency declaration. All schools have returned to normal operations. We will no longer be sending positive case notifications or conducting contact tracing for COVID-19.
There are many exciting things on the horizon as we head toward completing another school year including state testing, teacher appreciation, and end-of-year celebrations. We are especially looking forward to celebrating the graduates of 2022 in May. Stay the course, and let's finish strong!
Respectfully,
David Alexander
Superintendent
Ascension Public Schools
There is an informational meeting about the Early College Option program on March 23rd at RPCC.

She exudes the core values of Ascension Parish School Board: teamwork, service, leadership, and learning. Ms. Chiquet is a valuable member of the 7th grade team providing support to her PLC and grade-level through researching best practices and implementing them in the classroom. When faced with adversity she is able to adapt and overcome. Best of all, she develops great relationships with her students which allows her to provide them with excellent learning experiences. Geaux Ms. Chiquet!
