Struggling to read those shorter putts? Instead of guessing how much break to play, start at the edge of the cup and work your way in or out. Having a consistent starting point makes it easier to visualize the break, trust your line, and build more confidence on the greens.

Are you struggling with a lack of compression or powerful contact? Think about narrowing the space from your grip and lead leg on the downswing.

Wade Wednesday returns this week with a twist on one of his favorite downswing ideas. Widening out the arc on the way down to the ball can lead to a lot of different issues with contact. When we do that, the distance gap from the lead thigh to the lead wrist actually increases - meaning we actually have to somehow get out of the way before striking the ball. By narrowing the distance gap, we are able to continue rotating the chest and powering the arms, leading to compression and more powerful impact..

If you’re struggling with inconsistent ball flight, your lead-hand grip could be making it harder to control the clubface. A small grip adjustment can help create a more neutral wrist position and make it easier to square the face through impact.

Build a better plan for your golf game!

Join us at The Golf Stable for our Junior Golf Blueprint, a one-hour session designed to help junior golfers and parents head into the offseason and 2027 season with a clear plan. We’ll talk about setting meaningful goals, getting more out of practice and gym time, building better habits, planning a tournament schedule, and using stats to track progress.

Junior golfers and parents are both encouraged to attend, and we’ll wrap things up with a Q&A.

Tuesday, October 6 | 6:30–7:30 PM
Space is limited, so send us a DM or email [email protected] to RSVP.

With fall and the offseason right around the corner, we’re changing things up a bit at The Golf Stable. Fridays will now have a new look with Golf Velociti, focused on helping you get faster and move more efficiently this offseason.

We’re excited to get it started and hope to see you at TGS!

How well do you really know your wedge distances? Working through different yardages in small increments is a great way to build a repeatable system for those in-between shots. The more you dial in your carry numbers on the range, the less guessing you’ll have to do on the course!

If you tend to slide or lose stability through impact, the lead leg could be a big part of the problem. Learning how to get grounded, post into the lead side, and rotate through can help clean up the strike and square the clubface more consistently!

Creating more width in the backswing can help improve both turn and clubface stability. This simple feel encourages the arms to stay extended, gives the body more room to rotate, and helps set up a stronger position at the top. 💪
