HillFest 150 brought The Hill to life! 🙌🏾

Students, staff, faculty, families, alumni and friends gathered at Holland and Gaines Memorial Park for an afternoon filled with live music from KPVU 91.3fm, food trucks, games, photo booths, vendors and plenty of fun.

With nearly 2,000 new Panthers joining the PVAMU family and 150 years of legacy, culture and community to celebrate, there was plenty of excitement across campus.

This morning, Prairie View A&M University welcomed our newest Panthers during the New Student Lighting & Pinning Ceremony - a cherished tradition marking the beginning of their PVAMU journey.

From the lighting of the candles to receiving their pins, today was about more than ceremony. It was a moment of celebration, pride and the start of something unforgettable.
And we’re not done celebrating! 🎉

Head over to HillFest 150 from 1–4 p.m. at Holland and Gaines Memorial Park for food, music, games, vendors, activities and plenty of giveaways.

A 150-year legacy recognized by leaders at every level. đź’śđź’›

During this year's 2026 Faculty and Staff Conference, Prairie View A&M University received proclamations recognizing its Sesquicentennial from U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, represented by Southeast Texas Regional Director Kelly W. Waterman; U.S. Rep. Al Green; Texas State Sen. Lois Kolkhorst; and Texas State Rep. Stan Kitzman.

PVAMU is grateful to these leaders for joining the Panther community in celebrating this extraordinary milestone and honoring a legacy that continues to shape the future.
