Everyone’s favorite chip stopped by to make a very special delivery to TWO classes who have officially hit 10 DAYS of perfect attendance! 🎉

👏 Congratulations to Mrs. Barnholt’s and Mrs. Richardson’s homerooms! Yesterday, both classes earned the final piece for their class Potato Heads, which meant only one thing… CHIP DELIVERY TODAY! 😎🥔 Each student got to celebrate with a bag of chips!

And apparently CHIP’s job description doesn’t stop at snack delivery. 😂 Keep swiping to see what happened when he heard all the fun coming from PE.

We are so proud of our Jaguars for showing up, being ready to learn, and working together toward their attendance goals. Who will CHIP visit next?! 👀

Oh no! A mischievous little Gingerbread Man was LOOSE at Jones Elementary! 🍪🔎

During Community Circle, our 1st Grade Jaguars worked with their teachers to mix, shape, and bake their very own gingerbread men… but somehow, they got away! 😱

Our students followed clues around campus, exploring important places and meeting some of the amazing staff who help make Jones so special. ❤️

That sneaky Gingerbread Man may be fast, but he’s no match for our Jones Jaguars! 🐆🍪

One of our attendance incentives this year is off to a great start. Each class has their own potato head and if the whole class is present at 9:35, they add a piece.

When their potato head is complete, they earn a “Chip, Chip, Hooray” visit from a special guest who will deliver chips (and sometimes chocolate chip cookies) for the class to enjoy. We can’t wait for our first class to finish! Chip is ready to spoil a class!

Our theme this year is Fierce Hearts, Bright Futures, and the Fierce Hearts showed up today!

The day began with Alpha Phi Alpha showing up bright and early to make sure they greeted every staff member with a rose and a gift, assisted parents carrying in school supplies, and donated backpacks for Mrs. Jordan to distribute.

The Mayor of Prairie View stood in the foyer and greeted families alongside our staff members.

Parents and grandparents flooded the hallways taking pictures.

Students’ excitement as they hugged staff members they hadn’t seen since May brought joy to everyone.

The best part of the day though was the smiles as they left the building! It was a great day to be a Jaguar.

The love was evident at Jones today, and because of that love, we know every child has a bright future! ♥️🐆🖤
