“On January 9th , the PVAMU Army ROTC Color Guard proudly represented 5th Brigade and Army Cadet Command at the swearing-in ceremony for the PVAMU UPD Chief and 13 additional officers. Their professionalism, precision, and dedication showcased the highest standards of military excellence while honoring America’s pride and dignity.
Their outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, as the Color Guard was recognized by several elected officials and the University President for their exceptional representation of Prairie View A&M University, the United States Army, and Army Cadet Command.

Battle books out and prepared to copy!

Patrol Base Operations:

The intent of this lab was to teach and familiarize our Panther Battalion the key elements of patrol base operations. Here, we focused on the importance of 360-degree security, how to properly and accurately execute priorities of work, and when to rehearse actions on contact.

Thank you Panthers, especially MSIII’s, for all your hard work in these final strides before your turn at Cadet Summer Training. Your participation and enlightening feedback contribute more than you know. Your dedication not only positively impacts the roles and responsibilities of your Professor of Military Science, Assistant Professors of Military science and MSIV’s, but also those who follow in your footsteps. Continue to strive for greatness and excellence… because excellence lives where??

WHAT A TURNOUT!!

On the January 23rd, the Panther Batallion was formally reintroduced to platoon tactics, starting the semester off with a drill sequence of MTC (movement-to-contact). During this simulation, our Assistant Professors of Military Science and MS IVs observed the platoon and witnessed the incorporation of individual soldier sound discipline, as well as numerous hand and arm signals and movement techniques; thus creating a more realistic approach to this.

A special thank you and acknowledgement to the MSI’s and MSII’s that continue to show up with or without being contracted: Thank you, your presence and dedication does not go unnoticed.

Panther Batallion tackled land navigation, range cards, and furthered our expertise in warrior skills all in one lab. We strive to adequately prepare our MSIII’s for CST, they have made greater strides than anyone could’ve imagined. Not only is their advancement and initiative unparalleled, they also continue to be the guiding light for our upcoming leaders in the MSI-II classes.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

SWEEP, TWIST, PULL!!

On September 5th during lab, led by CDT Bowman, our Panther Batallion was introduced to various different gr***des, as well as their respective nomenclatures and purposes. This instructional sector also included gr***de safety procedures to ensure the safety of our cadets. 💜💛🐾

Welcome back, Panther Battalion:

The 2025-26 academic year has finally begun! It’s such a pleasure to introduce so many new faces to the program. Congratulations to all the MS4s returning from CST at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and good luck ushering this program towards excellence.

Join us in congratulating CDT Vinson and CDT Delemar on successfully graduating from Cadet Summer Training (CST) today! These two cadets pushed through long days, tough evaluations, and high expectations—and came out on top.

Both represented PVAMU ROTC with pride and discipline, proving what Panther cadets are made of. 🐾🔥
