Collegiate 100 at Prairie View A&M University The Collegiate 100 was created at Prairie View A&M Universityin Texas in 1993 by Frederick V. Roberts. and approved by the 100 Black Men of America in Dec. 1994.

It was sanctioned as an organization with the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston, Inc. The Collegiate 100 is an auxiliary organization to 100 Black Men. The Collegiate 100 membership is drawn primarily from male African–American college students through chapters on university campuses across America. The purpose of the Collegiate 100 is to implement the mentoring and tutoring programs of 100 Bl

ack Men. The participants assist the parent organization with the development of the social, emotional, educational, and physical needs of young black males who have few or no positive role models in the communities in which they live. Each Collegiate 100 chapter has an advisor from the faculty or staff of the college or university where the chapter iS located. Each advisor must remain active in the local Chapter of 100 Black Men to ensure that the program operates efficiently and effectively.
