You asked… I’m here to answer! 👋🏼

So, who is PTC anyway?? To put it simply, the Parent Teacher Committee, PTC, is a group of elementary parent and teacher volunteers who work together to make school more fun, memorable, and supportive for our kids and teachers.

But what do all these fundraisers go towards? Quite a lot! Thanks to your generosity, we’re able to host and provide things like:
🎪 Back to School Carnival
📚 Dr. Seuss Day celebrations
🏃 Field Day activities
🎨 Artist in Residence programs
🍎 Teacher & Staff Appreciation Weeks
☕ Treats and surprises for teachers throughout the year
🎁 Christmas gifts for students
🎉 Class parties, rewards, and more

Basically, everything extra that makes school feel special. Every butter braid in your freezer and Panther hoodie in your closet means supplies for bulletin boards, cotton candy for the carnival, and a hot coffee delivered to a teacher. Every dollar raised goes right back to the students and staff, and we truly couldn’t do it without your support ❤️

⭐️ Congratulations 3rd grade! ⭐️
With the help of a big ole bucket of pennies, they pulled ahead and took first place!! They have earned a class party when we return from Spring Break!

2nd place- 2nd grade
3rd place- 6th grade

Congratulations to all the classes! Together, PreK- 6th grade students came together to raise $1,319.08! The money raised will go to the winning class's party, and the second and third place prizes. The rest of the funds will go to helping put on more great PTC activities, like the school carnival, Dr Seuss Day, Field Day, Artist in Residence, gifts for students, and many more fun events for all our wonderful elementary students!

The Parent Teacher Committee is partnering with Original Works for a fundraiser to provide products with your child's original artwork. Order forms will be sent home soon and are due back March 19th. All proceeds will be used to support Prairie City School students and teachers. Thank you in advance for your support!

👻 Calling all goblins and ghouls!!

Meet us at the high school football field on Halloween night, starting at 6pm for a spooky good time!

Stop by for some treats and then stick around to cheer on our Panther boys as the Seniors take the field one last time against the Pine Eagle Spartans!

Anyone wanting to join us and host their own trunk is welcome! Please contact Jill for details at 541-792-0330. We would love to have as many trunks as possible!!

🎪 Back to School Carnival- what a BLAST!

Huge thanks to our rockstar volunteers for coming out to support us and for making sure the kids had the best time! What an awesome turnout! We're already looking forward to next year!!
