I am participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS Knoxville to Defeat ALS on October 4, 2025 in honor of my sister, Emily Lewis (PHS Class of 1992), and I need you on my team!!

Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS — it robs a person of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. And what’s even worse is that right now, there’s no cure.

Does anyone know anyone from the class of ‘92? My sister, Emily, will be in Knoxville on the 16th. We are trying to get anyone who knew her to visit at a gathering we are having. This will likely be the last time she will be in town. She has had ALS since this time last year. All are welcome. I can provide more info on the location later. Steven Lewis

Here is the information. This is technically a celebration for my nephew's graduation, but it is also a surprise for my sister.

The location is the Emerald Youth Foundation at 1014 Heiskell Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921. The time is 4-7 on the 16th of May.

Passing of Classmate Shane Porter

It is with sadness that we share the news that our classmate, Shane Porter, has passed away. Danesa Marshall mentioned that Mrs. Nelson from Brickey posted about it on her page.

Congratulations to Powell High’s Walter Nolen! He was ranked as the overall number one football player by ESPN’s top 300. He signed with Texas A&M yesterday. We wish him luck of a great career in football, even if he didn’t sign with the Vols.
