Last night, I was sworn in as a member of the Olentangy School Board and I am so proud to serve the members of our wonderful community!

My swearing in to the Olentangy School Board is next Thursday. I am looking forward to officially starting and appreciate the welcome by the district and current board!

Thanks to Jodie Clark for speaking at our SAC meeting last night. We learned so much about the challenges of keeping up with 145 daily bus routes. Did you know that in addition to all of the OLSD students her department transports, they also pick up and deliver about 1,000 non-public students daily? Also, due to our growth, she adds 3-4 routes per year.
We also learned from board member Julie Feasel that Ohio Rep. Brenner's fair funding bill is stalled in the finance committee. We will keep you posted if there is any progress. Stay tuned for our next meeting date.

Superintendent Mark Raiff has held 80+ coffees throughout the district. This one was held last night in Powell. Great turnout and great information on the bond/levy, the 4th high school and fair funding from the state. Want to host one? Call his office. It's that easy.

Attended the attendance boundary meeting tonight. HUGE turnout and great information. Thanks to all the parents who attended, listened and offered input. Thanks to the committee for their hard work and planning. It's never easy but I'm proud to be in a district that cares so much that they involve the public in on these tough conversations.
