✨Alumni Spotlight✨

We are thrilled to spotlight another member of our Crusader family, Mrs. Becca (Snead) Whitney, Class of 2019!

Becca is married to Blake Whitney and earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Pensacola Christian College in 2023. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Bob Jones University, completing the program while teaching her first year of kindergarten.

Becca is currently a kindergarten teacher at Madison Christian School in Columbus, Ohio, where she has completed two years of teaching. She has recently been given the opportunity to take on leadership roles within her kindergarten team and assist her administrative team with school community events and needs. Looking ahead, she is excited to serve as a mentor for a new teacher, become the lead kindergarten teacher, and lead a professional development seminar on effective parent communication.

Becca first felt called to become a teacher during her high school years at Temple Baptist Academy. She remembers watching her teachers faithfully invest their time, wisdom, and care into her life, and she especially remembers Jessica Sexton, whose U.S. History class helped spark her passion for teaching. Mrs. Sexton’s example showed her the lasting impact a teacher can have on the hearts and lives of students.

When reflecting on Temple’s impact on her life, Becca shared this, “ I am deeply thankful for Temple Baptist Academy and for the people there who have faithfully impacted generations for Christ through their teaching, leadership, and investment in the lives of students.”

We are so thankful for the way the Lord has continued to lead Becca and use her gifts to invest in the lives of young people. We are proud to call her a member of our Crusader family!

What a true joy it was to have our Church family see all the amazing updates God has allowed us to make this year! Thank you to all who came and had such encouraging words to share with our faculty and staff. Please continue to pray for us as we forge into the new school year. Only God knows what is in store for the 2026-2027 school year, but so many have had a part in making it happen!
