Muhlenberg South Elementary School hosted their first Ron Clark Academy house meeting this past Friday. Students and staff gathered in their designated "houses" to lay the foundation for the house system, as well as allow each house time to get to know each other.

The second MC Community Conversations took place yesterday evening at the Muhlenberg County Ag Center with District 3 families and staff. Attendees heard from our superintendent on a variety of topics as well as updates from our principals across District 3. Our board member representative of District 3, Jan Yonts, shared with the group her passion in seeing Muhlenberg County Schools succeed. Superintendent Brian Lile concluded the night by opening the floor for any questions.
Thank you to the Muhlenberg County Ag Center for allowing us the space to meet. Stay tuned for more opportunities to meet across our district throughout the school year...one voice, one purpose, one community. We are MC!

Our students across the district celebrated Ag Week in a variety of ways this past week. From dressing up and completing projects related to agriculture to checking out farm equipment and learning about farm animals, we celebrated a week of learning, hands-on experiences, and appreciation for the agriculture that is such an important part of our community.

A special thank-you to our local farmers, agriculture partners, families, and community members who helped make these experiences possible. We are grateful for the many ways agriculture helps our students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them!

Longest Elementary fourth graders combined their learning from the Paxton Patterson Electricity Lab with Ag Week by designing and building a working barn for a farmer. Students used circuits and light bulbs to wire a working light, while also learning how electricians safely and neatly route wires in real buildings. Through this hands-on challenge, students practiced designing, building, troubleshooting, and problem-solving while connecting their learning to agriculture and real-world careers.
