Kick off the new school year with us on Friday, August 28th! We’re bringing back two favorite campus traditions to celebrate the start of another amazing year together at Pomerado Elementary.
• Rush Coffee Truck: Start your morning right! Grab a coffee from the Rush Coffee Truck starting at 8:15 AM in the upper parking lot before joining us on campus. ☕
• Donuts with Grown-Ups: Enjoy a sweet morning treat! Join us for fresh donuts and great conversation with fellow parents, staff, and friends at 8:25 AM. 🍩
• First Friday Flag of the Year: Gather with us for our very first Friday Flag assembly of the year (8:45 AM) as we share campus updates, boost school spirit, and celebrate our awesome Wildcats! 🐾

We can’t wait to welcome our families back! Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 20th, for Back to School Night. Here is our schedule for the evening:
• 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Session 1 (Grades TK–2nd)
• 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Meet Principal LeMaster in the MPR
• 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Session 2 (Grades 3rd–5th)
Come meet your child's teachers, explore the classrooms, and get ready for a fantastic school year ahead.

🐾 2026–2027 Volunteer Updates! 🐾
Want to volunteer at Pomerado this school year? We’re excited to welcome our Wildcat volunteers back! 💙
Before applying, please note these important updates:
📋 New application: All volunteers (new and returning) must complete the 2026–2027 application.
🪪 Photo ID required: Upload a current government-issued photo ID (military ID is not accepted). Your application name must match your ID exactly.
🩺 TB clearance: A completed California School Employee TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire is required.
📚 Level 1 volunteers: AB 1913 training must be completed within 90 days of applying, with the certificate uploaded to your application. Please see our 2026-27 Volunteer Information sheet for information regarding completing this training.
⏰ Please be patient! Volunteer applications will be processed as our school routines and procedures are established. We will try out best to have your application reviewed and approved within 5 business days.
