Are you in the Rutland area? Do you want to learn more about how racial and environmental oppression are linked?

Check out 350Vermont's workshop: "How are Racial Justice & Climate Justice Connected?" THIS WEEKEND!

It's happening in Rutland at the Grace Congregational UCC this Sunday, December 9th, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

"What does racial justice have to do with climate justice? What do we mean by intersectionality? This interactive workshop explores the foundations of these justice movements and how and why they are inextricably bound. Participants will have the opportunity to consider and reflect on their own experiences, listen to the experiences of others, and learn new language and concepts to help support a deepening investigation of climate and racial justice. This is an introductory workshop and offers a series of starting points and questions, rather than a conclusive or summative approach to this content."

Green Mountain College's Sustainability Office is hosting and event tomorrow(Wednesday) for all first year students at GMC through the Slate Seminar. The program will be a family feud activity with questions about sustainability with a GMC focus. We're looking for current GMC students to answer the questions so we can play the game. It should only take a couple minutes to fill out the form.

If you could also send it to other people you know at GMC, your floor, class, or team, that would be very helpful.

Thank you to our good friends at Good Point Recycling for helping the dispose of our electronic waste today !

Good Point Recycling (division of American Retroworks Inc.) is a nationally-recognized electronics recycling company, consulting office, and a respected expert in "Fair Trade Recycling". They're one of the region's leading "e-waste" recycling operations, based in Middlebury, Vermont.

This year we collected only 4 pallets of electronic waste , which is much smaller than previous years.

Good job Green Mountain College for reducing our waste , keep it up !

Green Mountain College is hosting a free electronics waste recycling event on Tuesday, May 29 from 10am-Noon. Collection will take place in the rear parking lot of Green Mountain College's Griswold Library on Granville Street in Poultney.

Any Vermonter is welcome to drop off e-waste for recycling free of charge.
