“S*xual assault and stalking at Vassar? Oh, yes, it happens!"
It’s time -- to realize it all happens at Vassar.
Not only does it happen at Vassar, it happens more than people realize--just within the first few weeks of school there are numerous reports of sexual assault, stalking, and relationship abuse that have occurred within our community. Our discussion will aim to bring awareness of these critical issues for our community, address how to support students, especially, and ask what each one of us can do as individual members of the larger college community to acknowledge these issues and effect change. In doing this we will explain the roles of the SART (the S*xual Assault Response Team), SAVP (the S*xual Assault and Violence Prevention Program)and CARES in campus responses to incidents of sexual assault, stalking and relationship abuse. The conversation will be difficult, but really important. Please join us.
