Here are some tips for parents & families for successful distance learning!
1. Designate a learning space. If possible, your student should have a designated learning space that eliminates distractions and provides continuity in their day.
2. Establish a routine! Students that have a daily routine are more likely to be successful in distance learning.
3. Keep an open line of communication. Encourage your student to use the teachers office hours.
4. Ask about your students learning. Ask specific questions about their learning and about how they are progressing in their classes. Acknowledge your students fears, worries, and anxieties, and encourage them!
5. Follow healthy habits! Staying online too long can be detrimental to your students health. Encourage them to take a step away from the computer and go for a walk outside.
