PUBLIC NOTICE OF UPCOMING ACCREDITATION REVIEW VISIT BY THE ACEN

The Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing at Lehigh Valley Hospital wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Diploma Nursing Program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in Board Room of the School of Nursing located at 700 Schuylkill Manor Road, Pottsville, PA 17901. Calling all Joseph F. McCloskey/Pottsville School of Nursing alumni!

Our new class starts soon and we think it would mean a lot for them to hear from the nurses who made it through before them.

So here's the ask: share a photo of yourself with a few words of wisdom for a new nursing student. You can post it right in the comments or send it to us in a Facebook message, whichever you're more comfortable with. Funny, sentimental, brutally honest, whatever got you through. "Buy good shoes" counts.

And while we have you: JFMSON/Pottsville School of Nursing has been graduating nurses since 1895. That's over 4,000 of you out there. There used to be an alumni group, but it's been quiet for a long time and we'd love to get it going again. If you're interested, mention it in your comment or message us.
