Stop dimming your worship to match the room.

If they won’t lift their hands, you still can.
If they won’t kneel, you still can.
If they won’t shout, you still can.

Your praise isn’t crowd-dependent.
It’s covenant-based.

You don’t need permission to adore Jesus.
You don’t need the atmosphere to be right.
You don’t need everyone else to go first.

You are not called to read the temperature.
You are called to set it.

Worship is not about fitting in.
It’s about pouring out.

Loud.
Quiet.
On your face.
With tears in your eyes.

It’s between you and Him.

And sometimes the breakthrough in the room
is waiting on one person
brave enough
to go first.

Be that one.

💡Black History Month Idea!

Have your students build a tower out of music note Jenga blocks. Then, sing “Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho” song in between having a student pull a Jenga block out. Then, have that student identify the music note 🎵 or clap 👏 out the rhythm on the Jenga block that they chose. Lastly, continue singing the song as you take turns playing jenga. It’s a hit in my classroom and I’m sure that your students will love 💕 this activity too!

Ministry is not for showcasing talent. It’s for laying down our lives. Before we ask people to respond, we must kneel first.
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice… this is your true and proper worship.” (Romans 12:1)
If it doesn’t cost you something, it’s not worship.

Worship leaders, it’s easy to get caught up in the music, the stage, the setlist, the timing…to feel the pressure to perform perfectly, to hit every note, to lead flawlessly.

The world applauds the sound, the skill, the “successful” set—but your soul? It often gets left behind in the rush.

But here’s the truth: God isn’t looking for flawless performance. He’s looking for hearts that are full of Him, not full of burnout.

Remember Mary, sitting at Jesus’ feet while her sister worked tirelessly. She chose presence over performance. She chose intimacy over obligation. And in that moment, her soul was filled, her faith deepened, and her worship became genuine overflow.

You weren’t made to lead from exhaustion or stress.
You were made to lead from a soul that has been refreshed, filled, and deeply connected to God.

When your worship flows from overflow, it carries life. It carries peace. It carries heaven’s presence.

So stop chasing perfection, stop chasing applause, and stop trying to fill empty tanks. Be with Jesus first. Sit at His feet. Let Him fill your heart. And then watch as the worship you lead doesn’t just sound good, it transforms lives.

Your soul matters more than your sound. Always.

💡Classroom Management Hack 1:

For Circle ⭕️ Time Transitions, place sit spots around your “circle time” carpet or if you don’t have a carpet to place the sit spots 🟣 around, then place the sit spots on the floor in a circle. Having a circle ⭕️ already mapped out on the floor for your scholars makes the transition easier, because then they’re not struggling to build a circle and you’re not wasting valuable time helping them to make a circle. Next, tell your students when you are ready to transition to circle time: 🟥 “red squares, please quietly stand up, walk, and pick a color dot 🔵 to sit on.” You can draw ✍🏻 different music symbols, notes, or solfege syllables🎵🎶on the sit spots in order to review the music theory that you want your students to learn in your class. 🎼Labeled sit spots makes it easier to direct specific students or a group of students to sit and/ or stand on certain spots for a musical game or an activity. When you have finished your circle time songs or activity, you can transition them back by calling for specific music notes or symbols🎵🎶to line up or sit in their assigned seat for class. For example, “all of my friends sitting on a quarter note, please quietly stand up, walk, and get into line and wait patiently for your teacher.”

💡Did you know that the "Create in Me a Clean Heart" song 🎼 is based on scripture from the 📖bible? The lyrics of the song 🎵🎶 are from Psalm 51: 10- 12: "create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right Spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your Presence; and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Your Salvation; and uphold me with Your free Spirit" (NKJV). Psalm 51:10- 12 was🤴🏻King David's prayer to God when he realized the devastating consequences for all of his sins, and he was pleading with God for His forgiveness. We to can come to the throne room like King David did and ask forgiveness for our sins, so that we can feel God's peace, His presence, and His joy in our everyday lives.
