Not the best picture quality but it was a HIGH quality first Wildcat Futures Senior Session of the 26-27 academic year! We are super excited to continue with our Senior Sessions (sign ups for August 13th and August 20th are still open) and offer a bunch of new opportunities during flex this year! Stay tuned!

Today we had the opportunity to present students from our Junior class with awards from the University of Rochester, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Rochester Institute of Technology. Each award carries the opportunity for a scholarship should the student choose to pursue their education at one of these institutions. The students pictured were nominated by members of our high school staff in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement and exceptional personal character. This honor highlights not only their dedication in the classroom, but also the positive contributions they make to our school community each day. We are so proud of their accomplishments and excited to see all they achieve in their future!

Mrs. Gadaleta spent the day attending the PASSHE Counselor Information Day, where she had the opportunity to connect with admissions representatives from each institution within the state system. She also participated in a mini college fair and attended a variety of Q&A and breakout sessions, gaining valuable insights to better support students in the college planning process.

The OJRHS School Counselors are having a great time meeting with all of the rising 9th grade students during Course Verification! It has been wonderful getting to connect with each of them, answer their questions, and help them prepare for their transition to high school. We are loving our time together yesterday and today and can’t wait to welcome them all to the high school next year, exciting things are ahead!
