🚌 Happy Tuesday Viking Families! 🚌

As we begin wrapping up the 2025–2026 school year and prepare for exciting bond projects and the 2026–2027 school year, we are already working on transportation planning for next year!

Please complete the Student Transportation Request Form by June 30, 2026 so we can make sure we have the most accurate addresses and contact information as we build bus routes for the upcoming school year.

âś… All in-district families are guaranteed transportation.
âś… Out-of-district requests will be reviewed individually based on distance and routing needs.

We are also excited to begin rolling out Here Comes the Bus, a FREE bus tracking app for Potterville families!

With Here Comes the Bus, families can:
📍 Track the real-time location of their child’s bus
đź”” Receive notifications when the bus is near
🏫 Know when their child arrives safely at school or home

Families may now begin registering and exploring the system during our soft launch this summer.

Dean Transportation will provide route information prior to the first day of school on September 8, 2026.

We are excited about the future of Potterville Public Schools and grateful for your partnership as we continue building a modern, student-centered district for our community.

June is National Safety Month, and it is a good reminder for all of us to stay aware of the signs of sudden cardiac arrest in young people. In Michigan, more than 300 children and young adults lose their lives each year to sudden cardiac arrest or unexplained cardiac events, often with little or no warning.

A few important reminders for families:
• Know your family heart health history
• Take chest pain, fainting, dizziness, or unexplained shortness of breath seriously
• Make sure your child has regular physicals, especially before sports participation
• Learn CPR if you are able
• Know where AEDs are located at schools and community events

Preparedness saves lives. Quick action, CPR, and access to an AED can make a critical difference during an emergency.

Last week we had an incredible Field Day at Potterville Elementary!

Our students spent the day laughing, competing, encouraging one another, and making memories that will last long after the school year ends. From relay races and water games to teamwork challenges and nonstop smiles, the energy throughout the day was absolutely amazing.

Field Day is always a reminder that school is about so much more than academics. It is about community, friendships, perseverance, joy, and creating positive experiences together.

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped organize such a fun and successful day for our students. Your time, energy, and care made today special.

This is only from the first day! More pictures to come.

“And now,” cried Max, “let the wild rumpus start!”

Well… the wild rumpus has officially begun at Potterville Elementary!

As our students head off for a well deserved summer, crews are moving in and exciting construction work is beginning across our building. Over the coming months, our school will continue transforming with updates designed to better support learning, safety, creativity, and community for years to come.

From new learning spaces and updated infrastructure to improvements that will help create an even better experience for our students and families, there is a lot of exciting work ahead.

We cannot wait to watch the transformation unfold this summer and welcome our Vikings back to an even stronger Potterville Elementary this fall.

Let the wild rumpus begin!
