33 Alumni joined ISE director Susan Powers ('83, '85) during the 2026 Alumni Reunion on a walk to the Munter trail along the Raquette River. We shared stories of current and past student projects and the great contribution that John Munter ('59) made to campus and the Potsdam Community through his design and construction of this trail.

We are looking for advocates to tackle wasted foor - any interest in joining us for a conversation leading to community action?

Compost for Good and Clarkson University’s Institute for a Sustainable Environment have teamed up to reduce food waste across the North Country. We have two virtual conversations coming up next week discussing food waste in our area and exploring solutions on the community level. Please join Clarkson University’s Professor Sue Powers and Compost for Good’s Jen Perry to learn about exciting projects that are changing our waste cycles in the North Country. All are welcome! No background knowledge of composting is necessary.

Two opportunities to attend!
Tuesday, June 23rd | 5:30-6:30pm
Wednesday, June 24th | 12-1pm

This year drop off locations were set up around dorms and apartments, please drop off unwanted (but still useable!) items in these locations between April 29th and May 6th. A list of acceptable items has been posted at each drop off. Those items will be picked up and taken to the tent on the south lawn of the ERC. Thank you for using your compost buckets all year and being your most sustainable self! Please drop off your compost bins at the Earth Day celebration this coming Wednesday. If you can't make this time please contact Abby Miler, [email protected], to set up an alternative drop off time. Also we please ask that you rinse the buckets out or clean them to the best of your ability this is just for our storage purposes. These buckets are free to use, but only for a select amount of time. If a bucket is not returned there will be a charge. Thank you again for using the compost program this year!
