Day 1 of the AISES Region 6 Conference ended with a Buffalo Bandits game. Day 2 was full of workshops by indigenous scientists working locally and at NASA. The students in the Mohawk Youth Health Ambassadors program were able to connect with team at the Roswell Park Center for Indigenous Cancer Research. Thank you and for the opportunity.

We stopped by to visit STEP students who are in the Mohawk Youth Health Ambassadors Program, a collaboration between the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The students attend a weekly workshop where they virtually meet with research scientists and health professionals to discuss various topics related to research and the health field. They will work on their own research projects and hopefully attend the summer program at Roswell Park.

Another successful college visit in the books. We were able to partner with the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Youth Services program to bring students from Akwesasne to Syracuse University’s Native Outreach Day. Thank you to SU’s Native Student Program, Office of Admissions, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Academic Affairs, and the Indigenous Community for sponsoring the event.
