Mrs. Jarvis’ class has been participating in the “pencil parking” challenge and have been doing exceptionally well so we’ve had some delicious themed morning snacks/drinks to reward this awesome task! Thanks Mrs. Osia for the great idea of pencil parking!

Mrs. Jarvis’ 2nd grade class has had a busy 2 weeks using the books “Creepy Carrots, Creepy Pair of Underwear & Creepy Crayon” to learn/review and apply themselves on the following learning objectives:
Used text features to make predictions, Context clues & inferring for new vocab & then making our own context from it, Retelling, Moral of the story, ask/answer questions using text evidence for support, story elements, character traits, cause & effect, point of view, opinion & narrative writing, comparing & contrasting, parts of speech and grammar! Made it fun with some yummy drinks & snacks and also glow sticks!
