We hope everyone is having a wonderful Hanukkah! As we explored the Festival of Lights through cooking, songs, stories, games, family celebrations and more, each of our classrooms created joyful memories and built meaningful connections.

As we welcome in 2025 and prepare for the 8th night of Hanukkah, we are reflecting on our gratitude for the light and joy our ECC community kindles each and every day. Wishing peace, light and joy to all in 2025. Chag Sameach and Happy New Year!

Washington Hebrew Congregation ECC Family Committee Pizza Fundraiser! Support the ECCs at WHC while enjoying a delicious pizza dinner from Mention WHC Early Childhood Center when you carry-out or dine-in at Potomac Pizza (Potomac Promenade) on Wednesday, December 4th from 3-9pm. 20% of total sales mentioning WHC ECC will be donated to our early childhood centers.

Check it out! Caregiver-Child Play Dates for children under 24 months on Wednesdays at Washington Hebrew Congregation from 9:30:10:30am start in December! 💕

Children and caregivers connect and grow through interactive play, movement, songs, and games! Little ones explore emotions, practice sharing, develop empathy skills, build frustration tolerance, and cultivate resilience. Caregivers learn strategies for connection and co-regulation with their little ones, fostering a strong bond and supportive environment for social-emotional learning while creating cherished memories and building essential skills together!

This class is open to children under 24 months, accompanied by an adult caregiver. Led by Rachel Siegel, an Early Childhood Development Specialist from Growing Minds, and in partnership with WHC’s Early Childhood Center.

Chag Sameach! This morning we welcomed our ET ECC families for a Breakfast in the Sukkah , and our RJW ECC Pre-K students took a very special trip to Rabbi Shankman’s Sukkah! We spent a beautiful morning together shaking the lulav, smelling the etrog and enjoying some delicious breakfast treats. Thank you to Cantor Bortnik, Rabbi Shankman and our wonderful families for celebrating with us!
