WhitWorld is sponsored and supported by Walt Whitman High School PTSA - Originally founded by former Whitman parents, Gloria Olimpio and Kim Weichel. The purpose of this group is to seek and connect American, international and newcomer families with the Whitman community in a friendly environment, offering orientation and assistance in getting settled in the Bethesda area. ship committees, members and the school administration share the vision that International families, which represent one third of parents at Whitman, are a valuable resource and their dynamic involvement in school activities is an extraordinary opportunity for cultural enrichment and exchange. Whitworld is an experience of new friendships that lasts beyond the years our children attend Whitman.

"Breaking the Cycle of Fear: Healing Ourselves, Freeing Our Children.”
An interactive session by Atousa Raissyan. An event specially put together for our members for the auspicious moment of Mother’s Day! Fear is not who we are. It is something passed down — through generations, culture, and collective experiences — shaping the roles we unconsciously step into as parents and individuals.
So thankful and appreciative for our session with Atousa. She connected with each and every one of us, coming from a place of familiarity and inner peace and strength.
