Poth ISD Opens Gifted/Talented Referral Window

Poth ISD is now accepting referrals for the district’s Gifted/Talented (GT) program. The referral window will remain open from October 5th (4:00 pm) through October 16th (4:00 pm).

The GT program is designed to serve students who perform at, or show the potential for performing at, an exceptionally high level of achievement when compared to peers of the same age, experience, or environment.

Who Can Refer: Referrals may be submitted by parents, teachers, or community members.

Referral Process: Once a student is referred and consent to test is received from the parent/guardian, Poth ISD will conduct a comprehensive evaluation in accordance with district procedures. This process includes both qualitative and quantitative measures to determine eligibility for GT services.

How to Refer: Referral forms are available at https://www.pothisd.us/programs/advanced-academics/gifted-talented and must be submitted by October 16.
