One of my favorite days at Pirate Academy. 😊 Today we celebrated our grandparents with a fun and "hot" picnic. Happy Grandparents Day to some of the best Nanas, Mimis, Gigis, Papas, Granddads, and Gramps out there. We love you!

Last Friday, Pirate Academy had some very special visitors - firefighters! The kids loved learning about fire safety, seeing all the gear up close, and even watching the firefighters spray the big fire hose! 🚒 🚨

We’ve been talking all week about what to do in an emergency and how firefighters help keep us safe. A huge thank you to our local fire department for taking the time to come visit and teach our little learners! ❤️

Yesterday, we celebrated our annual Grandparents Picnic, and what a wonderful turnout we had! Grandparents joined their little ones under the canopies for a tasty meal of BBQ hotdogs, burgers, and lemonade. The smiles, hugs, and laughter made the day so special.

A big thank you to our amazing grandparents for spending the afternoon with us and to everyone who helped make the day possible. We are so grateful for the love and support you show our school family!

We just started Worship Wednesday at school, a special time where we sing Bible school songs and learn about stories from the Bible.

This Wednesday we learned about creation and how God made the light and sky, night and day, water and land, plants, animals, and people. We talked about how God created everything in six days and then rested on the seventh day.

For our object lesson, we used a bottle filled with baby oil and colored water. When we shook it up, it looked all mixed together, but as it settled, it showed a clear separation just like when God separated the sky from the water in the creation story.

The kids loved singing, learning, and seeing God’s creation come to life in such a fun way!
