REMINDER: BEGINNER INSTRUMENT DRIVE, Monday AUG 24th, 4:15 PM

Arrival Time: 4:15 PM
Close-out by: 7:00 PM
Location: Poteet Junior High Band Hall
Price: Varies by instrument; rent-to-own is available
The goal is to have an instrument in every single student's hands by the next class day, Tuesday. Please reach out to us if needed. We wish the district were in a position to provide instruments to all our students. That may be a possibility in the future, but this is our current reality. So at this point, we are asking parents to invest in their child's experience, learning, achievement, and enjoyment in school. This investment will carry until they graduate from high school. Together, we can provide all these things and more. Again, please reach out if needed, so we can figure out how to get an instrument in your child's hands.
At the instrument drive, families will work with the band directors and representatives from Hillje Music to acquire instruments and materials for their child. If the event is missed. We will help you coordinate communication with Hillje Music to acquire an instrument for your child on your own. However, I want to stress the importance of your child having an instrument by next week, Aug. 24th, because we will get started right away. Remember, having an instrument is paramount to your student’s success/grade in this course.
Final reminder: all students must be accompanied by an adult during the instrument drive.
