DISTRICT 3 STATE REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE VISITS CASC GOVERNMENT CLASSES: Carl Albert State College students recently had an opportunity to connect classroom learning with the real-world political process during visits from Steve Glinski, a candidate for Oklahoma House of Representatives District 3.

Glinski visited three American Federal Government classes on the CASC Poteau campus on August 28, September 1 and September 9. The visits, held in the Ollie Center, gave students an opportunity to hear firsthand from a local citizen participating in the state political process.

At Oklahoma's public colleges and universities, FY27 tuition and mandatory fees are over 25% less, on average, than institutions in their national/regional peer groups. And we're proud to do our part at Carl Albert State College! ❤️💙

This academic year, CASC once again maintained the cost of tuition and mandatory fees—because we believe an exceptional education should also be an affordable one.

Keeping college within reach for our students isn't just something we talk about- it's part of our mission.

Be exceptional. Be a Viking.

What a week to be a Viking! ❤️💙

We grabbed loaded teas from The Mix Poteau for downloading our LiveSafe campus safety app, cheered on Viking Softball on the road and caught some baseball action; there was plenty happening all week long.

We got a little competitive with intramural basketball and billiards, and that’s just a little of what kept our campus busy!

Classes are important, but the college experience is about so much more. We love seeing our students getting involved, having fun, supporting each other, and making CASC feel like home.

Another great week in the books. Have a great weekend, Vikings!

Be exceptional. Be a Viking.

Need a fresh start this semester?

With our eight week classes, you don’t have to wait until next semester to keep working toward your degree.

Eight week courses give you the flexibility to complete classes in a shorter time while still earning college credit and making progress toward your degree. They can be a great fit if you’re balancing work, family, athletics, or just prefer a shorter class format.

Whether you’re already a Viking or you’ve been thinking about coming back to college, there’s still time to enroll. ❤️💙
