About Kiamichi Tech

Kiamichi Tech has played a significant role in the growth of southeast Oklahoma communities since 1968, serving nine full and four partial counties. With a mission to 'Prepare People for Success," Kiamichi Tech meets local workforce needs through full-time career training programs, short-term courses and customized training for businesses. The Kiamichi Tech page was created as a place for updates about our programs and services and stories about our students and communities to be shared. At Kiamichi Tech's 9th Grade Reality Check, students step into the shoes of adults, balancing careers, budgets, and life expenses while learning how today's choices can impact tomorrow's opportunities.

🩺 Nothing Teaches Like Experience 🌟

Kiamichi Tech's Practical Nursing students had the opportunity to welcome Carrie from Heart of Hospice to discuss the important and sensitive concept of death and dying.

This meaningful conversation helped students gain insight into end-of-life care, compassionate communication, supporting patients and families, and the importance of providing dignity and comfort during one of life’s most difficult transitions. 🤍🌿

The students are grateful for the opportunity to learn from professionals who help future nurses understand that nursing is not only about caring for the body, but also about providing compassion, comfort, and dignity every step of the way.
