Carl Albert State College is proud to announce the first official signee of the new Viking Cross Country program. Ms. Zitlalic Aguilar, of Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City, signed with Carl Albert State College's Cross Country team on May 23, 2017. Zitlalic, or Tally as she prefers to be called, was a 4-year letter for the Western Heights Jets in cross country. During her senior season, Tally helped the Jets win the Suburban Conference championship, as well as earn 8th place at the 5A State Cross Country meet. When asked why she chose CASC, Tally stated "being a founding member of the new cross country program is very exciting".
CASC is still looking for incoming freshmen to fill up the team. There are scholarships available to those who qualify. There will be an open try-out for all who are interested in running for the Vikings ​​next season. The try-out will be held June 27th at 8:00 am on the CASC campus in Poteau.
