We were excited to have two students representing Poteau FFA at the American Farmers & Ranchers Youth Leadership Summit!

The AFR Youth Leadership Summit brings together students from across Oklahoma to develop leadership skills, build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and learn more about the many opportunities within agriculture. Throughout the event, participants took part in hands-on leadership activities, interactive workshops, and heard from inspiring speakers who encouraged them to grow as leaders in their schools, communities, and the agriculture industry.

Thank you to American Farmers & Ranchers for investing in the future of Oklahoma agriculture and providing such a meaningful experience for our members!

Officer Retreat 2026 ✔️🌟

Last week, the Poteau FFA Officer Team traveled to Tahlequah for our annual Officer Retreat! It was a few days filled with leadership, teamwork, planning, and a whole lot of fun.
Throughout the retreat, officers worked together to develop our 2026-2027 Program of Activities (POA), set chapter goals, and began planning events and opportunities that will make this year a success for every Poteau FFA member.
A huge thank you to Brandon Baumgarten for investing in our officer team through leadership development and team-building activities. His session challenged us to communicate better, grow as leaders, and work together to serve our chapter with purpose.
We also had the opportunity to tour Greenleaf Nursery, where we learned more about Oklahoma's horticulture industry and the many career opportunities within horticulture and nursery production. It was a great reminder of the diverse paths available in agriculture.
Of course, no retreat would be complete without a little fun! From team-building games to time at the water park, these experiences helped strengthen our friendships and build a stronger officer team.
We're excited for what lies ahead and can't wait to put our plans into action. Here's to a great year of growing leaders, serving others, and making Poteau FFA the best it can be! 💙💛🌾

Giving back to our community, one project at a time! 🌱🛠️❤️

Poteau FFA members spent the day serving our community by removing overgrown trees and brush, cleaning up landscaping, and giving the stadium bleachers a fresh coat of paint.

These students worked hard despite the summer heat, demonstrating what it means to lead through service. We are proud of their willingness to step up, work together, and leave our community a little better than they found it.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and effort. Your dedication is making a difference, and we're proud to call you Poteau FFA members!

Another day of summer fun! ☀️

Poteau FFA Livestock judgers traveled to Stillwater today to compete in Day 1 of the Big 3. We had a great time, learned from every class, and enjoyed catching up with friends from FFA chapters across the state. We're thankful for every opportunity to grow, compete, and represent Poteau FFA! 💙💛
