🧪 Little Scientists at Work! 🎨
Today we explored colors using water, food coloring, cotton rounds, and droppers! Our kiddos practiced squeezing and releasing the droppers while watching the colors soak, spread, and mix together. Such a simple activity with lots of fine motor practice, cause and effect learning, and colorful science fun! 💧🌈🔬

During this time we even had a friend lose ANOTHER tooth ❤️

🌱✂️ Fine Motor Fun in Action! 🐔💚

Our toddlers and school-age friends had a wonderful time strengthening their fine motor skills by practicing scissor cutting! They carefully snipped strips of “grass” to feed the adorable chickens they made with their own little hands.

Activities like this help develop hand strength, coordination, focus, and the confidence needed for everyday tasks like writing and self-care—all while having fun through creative play.

We’re so proud of their hard work and love watching them learn through hands-on experiences! 🐥🌿✂️

There is nothing better than watching little personalities grow, friendships bloom, and confidence shine a little brighter each day. From giggles and imaginative play to learning new skills and celebrating little victories, every moment reminds us why we love what we do.

🪼 The process is the lesson. Instead of focusing on the final product, our daycare kiddos explored textures, colors, and movement while strengthening the muscles needed for future writing. Every squish, swirl, and discovery supports meaningful, hands on learning. 🌿💙

Today is a day I’m incredibly proud of. 🩷

When I opened Two Moms & Tots, my dream was to create more than just a daycare—I wanted to create a place where children feel safe, loved, encouraged to learn, and truly at home.

Being featured by the Coeur d’Alene Press and having the opportunity to share our story means so much. This journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has strengthened my commitment to providing the very best care for the children and families who trust us each day. (Coeur d’Alene Press)
