The Hardy Music Studio is a home based studio for private organ and piano instruction. Bach himself!

MARIETTA HARDY received her Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University in 1989 in Organ Pedagogy. She studied under Darwin Wolford at Ricks College, through whom she can trace her musical roots back to J.S. At Brigham Young University she studied with Dr. Brett Zumsteg and Dr. Richard Elliott, who is now the organist for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Marietta taught group organ classes

These are the trophies won by my students at the North Idaho Music Teachers Association Musicianship Festival! Only those who passed all four of their tests in sight playing, listening, written theory and functional skills receive a trophy. I can’t wait to present these to them!

I had the privilege of playing on the Salt Lake Conference Center organ last week! This organ was built by Schoenstein & Co. and has 7,708 pipes and 130 ranks. It is the second largest organ in the state of Utah. The people pictured here are Dr. Richard Elliott, me and my husband, Todd. What a wonderful instrument! I played the Tabernacle organ years ago, and have finally gotten to take this one for a spin. 🥰

Free concert next Tuesday 7:30 at Schuler Performing Arts Center. I will be at the piano again. We are bringing in professional soloists and a children’s choir for this one. We will be performng John Rutter’s “Mass for the Children.” Come and enjoy! I love John Rutter music!!

I am exceedingly proud of all my students who participated in the North Idaho Music Teachers Association Performance Festival! These students were selected to perform in the Honors Recital. Way to go kids!! Thanks to North Idaho College for the use of their facilities.

I will be performing in the Spokane AGO Bachathon Sunday, March 30th at these three locations. I will be play J.S. Bach’s B minor Prelude and Fugue. The concert is free!
