Self-care may feel selfish when you’ve been conditioned to believe that your time, energy, and resources belong to someone else—even a spouse. When you’ve spent so much of yourself caring for another person, choosing to care for yourself can feel unfamiliar, and even wrong.
But taking care of yourself isn’t selfish; it’s essential. It allows you to make space for the things that bring joy, restore your spirit, and nourish your soul. In caring for yourself, you begin to rebuild the strength, peace, and sense of self that may have slowly eroded in an unhealthy relationship.

May this season of self-care become a season of restoration—a time when I learn to receive the love, peace, and freedom You have always intended for me.
