This last Friday concluded the marching bands two week camp. They have been putting in their best effort and it shows. During the performance on Friday we got to have our first look at the opener of the show, percussions cadence, and who could forget the school song.

The parent meeting afterward was a great success. I got a chance to communicate with the community on our expectations and standards going forward.

Thank you parents for supporting your students, school staff for helping navigate a new environment, and students for working through long hot days.

I’m proud to be a Viking!!!!

Unfortunately, the power at the school went out as soon as we started on uniforms. We’ll be working on them throughout the day tomorrow. We are hoping to get them knocked out before 12:20pm. I will be checking on the progress throughout the day and will leave a comment on this post when everything is done. I do not want to waste any community members time if everything is done so please look at the comments before you leave to come to the school if you’re helping. Those coming we are doing crazy hats tomorrow.

Thankfully, all the uniforms are clean so regardless of if we get through everything, they will be ready for the show tomorrow.

Hello everyone, this is a call out post for any parents interested in assisting with ironing uniforms or helping with construction of props.

Ironing: We are looking to iron all the pants for the band. I know my mom is gonna come out and help tomorrow night. if anyone is available tomorrow or Friday, I would appreciate it.

Construction: There are a couple different props we are wanting to make for the marching season that would require some woodworking. If you’re interested or have experience, please reach out.

In other news, it looks like we have plenty of snacks left over to provide between end of camp and the performance at 6pm on Friday.

Camp is going great, all the students have been doing an amazing job this week. Thank you for supporting them.

Wednesday- pink
Thursday- jersey’s
Friday- to be determined

A little more information for Friday I will be at the school between 3pm and when the parent preview show starts. Anyone wanting to leave their kid at the school during that time will be supervised. I am working on finding something to provide for dinner to those staying. If your student has any dietary restrictions, please email me or send a note with your student.

If someone is being picked up at three, they are required to be back by 5:00 PM to prepare for the performance.

Marching Band Families. We are working on getting some snacks together for the kids at band Camp next week. Please sign up if you are able to donate any of the listed snacks. We were specific this year as it is important that the kids aren't just loading up on sweets so they can be at their best. The kids will need to bring a packed lunch each day and a large water bottle. We will have a water refill station available outside. You can volunteer to bring snacks either or both Mondays of camp. Just bring them to the band room door between 8 and 9 on either Monday.
Thank you all for your continued support for this program. Go Vikings!!!!!!!!

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
