Birchtree supports individuals with autism and other diverse abilities by providing personalized education and outreach programs that promote inclusion, independence, and holistic growth. Our staff travels over 100,000 miles per year to serve students in their schools and family homes. For students who need even more intensive support, Birchtree’s day school in Portsmouth is the only year-round sc

hool in New Hampshire that serves students with autism exclusively. Students travel up to two hours per day every day to attend this year-round, individualized program. It's staffed by autism experts known for their ability to help students with significant behavioral and communication challenges.

Students attend Birchtree’s day school year-round… but that doesn’t mean they need to miss out on summertime fun! On this , we’re feeling grateful to our friends at Service Credit Union. Their Portsmouth Walmart branch organized an incredible donation drive for Birchtree this spring.

Generous members and staff donated an amazing assortment of bubbles, sunscreen, bug spray, outdoor games, and other summery essentials. Thank you, Service Credit Union, for helping make this season fun AND educational for our students with autism!

Have you tried to beat the heat at Water Country yet? Birchtree staff and students went there earlier this summer! 🏊💧

Students had a great time on the slides and pools while learning how to safely navigate the park. Thanks to the great team at Water Country for welcoming our students and staff again this year!
