Congratulations to Michael Maryak on passing his Instrument Checkride! 🎉✈️

Michael has been training with CHI since 2021, and we're excited to see him reach this next milestone in his aviation journey. As a third generation pilot in his family, flying is clearly a passion that runs deep, and we're proud to have been a part of his journey as he continues carrying that tradition forward.

Earning an Instrument Rating is a huge accomplishment, and we're looking forward to seeing what comes next for Michael as he continues to build his skills and experience in the cockpit.

Congratulations to our very own dispatcher, Honorah McGlone, on earning her Instrument Rating! 🎉✈️

Norah has been a familiar face around CHI for quite some time now, working as a dispatcher while pursuing her own aviation goals. She earned her Private Pilot Certificate with us and has continued working toward her Instrument Rating while balancing everything else on her plate.

And when we say everything, we mean it... Norah has been balancing full time college, working at CHI, and flight training all at once, yet somehow still manages to show up every day with the same enthusiasm, positive attitude, and that big smile we all know so well. Her passion for aviation is genuinely contagious, and it's been so much fun watching her grow as a pilot and become an even bigger part of the CHI family along the way.

We're incredibly proud of Norah and everything she has accomplished so far. Earning an Instrument Rating is a huge milestone, and we know this is only the beginning. She's already wasting no time moving on to her Commercial Pilot training, continuing to work toward her goals and her future in aviation.

Norah, we're so excited to see where this journey takes you, and we're incredibly happy that we get to be a part of it!

We'd like to welcome Kalen Willits to the CHI Aerospace instruction team as a part time Flight Instructor! ✈️

You may already know Kalen from seeing him around the desk as one of our dispatchers, but after recently earning his CFI, we're excited to welcome him into a new role at CHI.

Kalen has always had a passion for teaching and sharing his love of aviation. In addition to earning his CFI, he holds both his Advanced Ground Instructor and Instrument Instructor certificates and enjoys helping other pilots build confidence, improve their skills, and become more comfortable with the tools and procedures that make flying safer and more enjoyable.

Kalen first discovered aviation on an introductory flight in Maui in 2018 and has been hooked ever since. After training at CHI as a student pilot while working in the aviation software industry, we're excited to now have him helping the next generation of pilots pursue their own aviation goals.
Kalen will be instructing Thursdays and Fridays to start. Be sure to say hello next time you see him around the airport, and congratulations, Kalen! 👏✈️

As we continue to mourn the loss of CHI Aerospace founder Chris Hosford, we would like to invite family, friends, students, colleagues, and members of the aviation community to join us in celebrating Chris's life and legacy.

Chris's Celebration of Life will be held on September 29th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chris Hosford Memorial Scholarship Fund at CHI Aerospace. The fund was established to honor Chris's legacy and continue his commitment to making aviation more accessible to others.
