Our staff spent valuable time diving into Virginia Language & Literacy Screening System (VALLSS) training, led by our amazing Reading Specialist, Mrs. Culpepper, and Reading Program Specialist, Mrs. O’Garra-DeBraux.
We are equipping our team with the data-driven tools and instructional strategies needed to meet every student right where they are and ensure every child thrives as a confident reader.

We want to send a heartfelt shoutout and sincere thank you to Mrs. Patsy Hudson for stepping up to volunteer with us at Churchland Primary & Intermediate School!
Mrs. Hudson has been an absolute joy and a wonderful addition to our school family. From lending a helping hand to keeping things running smoothly, she has been assisting us tremendously in the cafeteria during lunchtime.
