The Little Clipper Preschool supports learning and exploring while nurturing each child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. We believe that preschool children discover the world through play and hands-on learning. The Little Clipper Preschool introduces children to a structured preschool environment in encouraging, fun and engaging ways. Our program will provide your child wi

th the skills necessary for success in the early elementary school years. The Little Clipper Preschool is affiliated with the Education and Teacher Training program. We serve up to 18 preschool students per year, ages 30 months (potty trained) to five years. The ETT program's main purpose is to educate high school students who are interested in exploring a career in education. They are given the opportunity to experience the preschool classroom under the direct supervision of the ETT and preschool teachers through observations, creating lesson plans, and direct interaction with the preschool students.

Our final featured Little Clipper graduate is Raahi. Raahi is fun, energetic, and always keeps us laughing. She never fails to brighten our days with a joke or simple giggle. Raahi loves building at the Lego table, playing outside, and dressing up in dramatic play. When she grows up, she hopes to become a doctor and a baker. Raahi's favorite thing about preschool is playing outside and says what she will miss most about preschool are the high schoolers and Nova. In kindergarten, Raahi is most looking forward to playing on a new playground. Raahi, it's hard to picture our classroom with out you and we are going to miss your joyful spirit and jokes so much next year, but you will have the best time in kindergarten!

Today's featured Little Clipper graduate is Nova. Nova is a born leader. She is confident, driven, and independent. She has a true passion for learning and that shines through every time she learns something new. Nova's favorite place to play is outside, but she also spends a lot of time making amazing art and awesome Lego creations. When she grows up, Nova hopes to become a doctor. Nova says her favorite thing about preschool is that it's so much fun and what she will miss most are her friends. In kindergarten, she is looking forward to all the new things she will learn. Nova, we are going to miss you and your excitement for learning so much, but you are without a doubt ready to take on kindergarten!

Today's featured Little Clipper graduate is Blake.
Blake is always the first one to offer to help his friends and teachers. He is kind and caring, always checking on friends that are sad and making sure they are okay. Blake loves to build in the block area and ride bikes on the playground. He also enjoys dramatic play and is a puzzle pro. When he grows up he wants to be a police officer. Blake says his favorite thing about preschool is playing with the blocks and what he will miss the most about preschool are his friends. What he is looking forward to most about kindergarten is being in school with his sister. Blake, we are really going to miss your kindness and willingness to help others, but we are so excited for you to take on kindergarten!

Today's featured Little Clipper graduate is Fiona.
Fiona is caring, friendly, polite, and has a very impressive vocabulary. She can usually be found creating masterpieces at the art table or building amazing structures in the block area. When she grows up, she hopes to work on an ambulance so she can help people. Fiona says her favorite thing about preschool is coloring and the playground and what she will miss most about preschool are her friends. When asked what she is looking forward to in kindergarten, she said, "everything!" Fiona, we are really going to miss your love for learning and caring heart next year, but you are going to do amazing things in kindergarten!

Today's featured Little Clipper graduate is Adhira. Adhira is kind, always has a positive attitude, and is a great listener. She loves dressing up in dramatic play, building in the block area and at the Lego table, and reading in the library. Adhira is also quite the artist and created many beautiful works of art this year. When she grows up, she aspires to be a chef. Adhira says her favorite thing about preschool is playing with her friends and what she will most about preschool are her friends. Adhira, we will truly miss your kind and gentle spirit, but we wish you all best in kindergarten!

In honor of our six Little Clippers that will be graduating next week we will be featuring one graduate each day. First up is Yousuf...

Yousuf is energetic, a great helper, and loves to make his friends laugh. He can usually be found creating the most impressive structures in the block area, but he also loves to play outside and is always wowing us with his soccer skills. When he grows up he hopes to become a police officer. Yousuf says his favorite thing about preschool are his friends and what he will miss the most about preschool is building in the block area. What he is looking forward to most in kindergarten is riding the bus. Yousuf, we are going to miss your energy and your smile so much, but you are without a doubt ready to take on kindergarten!

This week we learned all about bees and butterflies. We enjoyed pretending to be beekeepers in dramatic play, having a pollination relay race, making butterfly life cycle snacks, and designing our own bugs. We also loved observing our caterpillars and can't wait to watch them turn into butterflies! We ended the week with our Mother's Day Tea Party. We wish all of our Little Clipper moms a very Happy Mother's Day!
