Unfortunately family and friends, we are closing the doors of Abby's Ark.
There will be a new daycare occupying the old building. THAT DAYCARE IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH ABBY'S ARK NOR MY MOTHER'S LEGACY.
They have decided to use my mother's old business number as their new business number. This is no longer Abby's Ark. Please don't let anyone convince you otherwise!!
We can not vouch for the quality of childcare they provide however, I hope this is something they will not take lightly.
To that end, my mother definitely had a gift and passion for her business and absolutely would never march to the beat of someone else's drum!

It is with extreme sadness that I inform you all of the passing of LaVern Abernathy-Theus, owner and director of Abby’s Ark Early Learning Center, on Friday, August 21, 2020.

Viewing for Mrs. Theus will be on Wednesday, August 26th from 2:00pm- 6:00pm at Metropolitan Funeral Service
5605 Portsmouth Boulevard
Portsmouth, VA 23701

You can watch the online service on Thursday, August 27th at 11:00am.

Abby’s Ark Early Learning Center is NOW ENROLLING in our 2019-2020 school year.

Our specifically designed centers include:
Computer, Manipulatives, Blocks, Science, Math their way, etc….
Play centers 2-3 yrs old & 4-5 yrs old
And much, much more!!
