The former Woodrow Wilson High School was renamed Harry A. High School when the new high school was built on Willett Drive in September 1955. The building on High Street was demolished and a new I.C. Norcum High School was built on the site in 1997. location, if possible. And PLEASE no Spaghm !

Harry A. Hunt (September 10, 1879 - March 15, 1966) was a Superintendent for Portsmouth VA City Schools. The former Woodrow Wilson High School (built in 1919) was renamed Harry A. Hunt Jr. High School when the new high school was built on Willett Drive in September 1955. The building on High Street was demolished and a new I.C. Norcom High School was built on the site in 1997. The Gymnasium was named for Coach Ernie Wild. Please limit your posts to the High St. location, if possible. And PLEASE no Spaghm !
