🎤 SSU faculty took the national stage! Dr. Gay Lynn Shipley, Dr. Leigh Anne Prugh, and Dr. Charles Kemp recently presented at the Council for Exceptional Children conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Their session, "Making Teacher Licensure Possible: Paraeducator to Intervention Specialist Preparation Program," spotlighted the innovative work happening in SSU's School of Education helping paraeducators earn their intervention specialist licensure through an online program built for working professionals.

We're proud to have faculty sharing their expertise and passion on a national platform!

🎉 Shoutout to SSU math students Matthew Birtcher, Charlie Hoover, and Carter Mitchell for representing Shawnee State at the MAA Ohio Section Spring 2026 Meeting at John Carroll University!

The trio attended a variety of math talks and competed in the Leo Schneider Undergraduate Math Competition, all made possible thanks to the Math Club and Pi Day 2026 fundraising efforts.

Proud of these students for investing in their mathematical journeys beyond the classroom! 👏
