In 2000 the Portsmouth City Council voted and approved $36 million in city and state funds to renovate the aging school. The renovation offers students a new library

, renovated auditorium, all new classrooms and science labs, a 100-seat lecture hall, a renovated band and chorus area and many other features.

THE CLIPPER BUFFET AT PORTSMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL

Sponsored by the 2015 class council. Open to everyone in the community including students, parents, and local residents.

A wide variety of local restaurants including Flatbread's, Portsmouth Chowder, and Buffalo Wild Wings have donated signature dishes for the buffet. Also, Chef Long and his culinary students have prepared many delicious courses for this feast.

Help support the community from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Portsmouth High School cafeteria. (50 Andrew Jarvis Drive). Cost is $7 and $3 for young children.
