🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
As we spend time with family and friends, we pause in gratitude for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy each day. May we never forget their courage, dedication and sacrifice.
Go in grace, Class of 2026!

“If there’s anything the Abbey has taught me, it would be to hold, and I mean hold tightly, onto fleeting seconds, onto outstretched hands, and onto each other… Our lives have been intertwined by chance, and now our friendships will keep us connected,” said Kasey Bernat '26.
Kasey reflected on how quickly time at the Abbey has passed and urged her classmates to “redeem” the moments they still have by holding tightly to friendship, community and the people who lift them up. Celebrating the Class of 2026’s resilience, individuality and deep bonds, she reminded her classmates that family is not defined by how long you’ve known someone, but by the love, acceptance and support shared along the way.
Well done, Kasey!

One of two student-elected Commencement speakers, Miles Ventura '26 reflected on the idea of “My 5%," originating from a profound conversation with houseparent and math teacher, Christopher Benestad, one afternoon.
In Miles' words, "the 5%" is the small collection of moments, friendships and memories that truly endure long after school ends. Through stories of house life, faith, laughter and loss, he encouraged the Class of 2026 to value every moment they are given and to live intentionally, reminding them that “time wasted is far worse than no time at all."
Thank you, Miles!
