🐴 Fire Horse Festival & Holi Powder Toss 🎨

Last Friday, the PAPIA Club brought energy and color to campus with the Fire Horse Festival, celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse, which only occurs every 60 years!

Students gathered on Kovacs Field during Flex for games, activities, and plenty of fun, culminating in a vibrant Holi powder toss that filled the air with color and celebration. Rooted in themes of energy, passion, and renewal, the festival was a joyful way for students to come together, celebrate culture, and embrace the spirit of community.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Kipilman and PAPIA leadership for putting this event together. 💙

📖🕊️ Saint Scholastica, Pray for Us 🕊️📖

Last Thursday, the Priory Community gathered in Schilling Square to unveil a statue of Saint Scholastica, the twin sister of Saint Benedict. Though we know only glimpses of her life, her legacy endures through her deep love, prayer, and devotion to community—so much so that St. Gregory the Great wrote, “she could do more because she loved more.”

The honor of unveiling the statue went to our Scholastica House prefects, who play a vital role in shaping dorm life—fostering belonging, guiding younger students, and building a strong sense of community rooted in care and respect.

May Saint Scholastica’s example continue to inspire our students to lead with love and live with faith and purpose.

✈️🌎 Expanding the classroom! 🌎✈️

Over spring break, Priory students stepped into immersive global education experiences to Guatemala and France that brought their studies to life. 🇬🇹🇫🇷

In Guatemala, Spanish language students traveling with Profesor Mejia-Torres engaged deeply with Mayan culture—connecting with traditions, community, and daily life in meaningful, hands-on ways. In France, Monsieur Rafoni led French language students as they explored the richness of art, history, and architecture, experiencing firsthand the cultural foundations they study in the classroom.

Experiences like these help shape Priory students into lifelong learners, prepared to serve a world in need of their gifts. A special thank you to Profesor Mejia-Torres, Monsieur Rafoni, and all of our dedicated chaperones for making these transformative experiences possible.

🐐🌿 We've goat this handled!🌿🐐

Yesterday, Priory welcomed some very special (and very hungry) guests to campus—over 400 goats! As part of our ongoing Priory Grazing Project, these natural landscapers are hard at work clearing non-native plants from our hillside.

This initiative is a key part of our sustainability efforts, supporting “Healthy Habitats” for both wildlife and people.

We’re proud to keep finding innovative, eco-friendly ways to care for our campus—and we think these helpers are doing a baaa-rilliant job. 😉

🌍✨ A night of culture, community, and incredible food! ✨🌍

Last Sunday, the Priory dorms hosted their annual International Dinner—a beloved tradition that brings our community together. Throughout the day, students prepared dishes representing their cultures, and in the evening, everyone gathered to share a truly global feast.

With 12 cultures represented, the event featured a wide variety of main dishes and desserts, each telling a story of home, heritage, and identity. Students, teachers, and our monks all joined in the celebration, making it a joyful and meaningful evening for all.

Moments like these remind us of the richness of our community and the power of coming together. 💫

Last Friday, PAPIA took over the Franklin Garden Pavilion for a full-on flavor moment 🔥🍳

Priory senior Zainab led the way, teaching the community how to make the ultimate masala omelet—bringing the perfect mix of spice, skill, and fun. Whether you came ready to cook or just ready to eat, it was all about good food, great company, and kicking off the weekend together.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun (and delicious) afternoon 💙🐾

Flock Together: Music That Soars 🐦🎶

Last Friday, our campus was filled with music inspired by birds, brought to life by our incredible ensembles—from Middle School Choir to Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble.

A special moment for our graduating seniors, who took the stage for their final Priory concert. Thank you for sharing your talent, dedication, and love of music with this community. 💙🐾

Last week, students took learning to new heights at iFLY 🚀

From classroom concepts to real-world application, they experienced the physics of flight firsthand inside a vertical wind tunnel—exploring forces, motion, and what it really feels like to fly.

Hands-on learning at its best 💙🐾

What a night! ✨ Rewinding to 1985 never felt so fun—amazing energy, our totally awesome Priory community, and so much joy all in one room. Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and made the evening unforgettable.

Because of you, we made a meaningful impact on our financial aid program and the students it supports—both now and in the future. 💙

Last week, our 7th graders brought the medieval world to life 📚

After weeks of research, students created handmade books exploring different regions, complete with incredible cover art. To round out the experience, they also prepared special dishes inspired by their regions for everyone to share and taste!

Creative, collaborative, and very Priory 👏
